This week millions of women celebrated International Women’s Day.
It’s hard to believe that in 1910 working class girls who attended state elementary schools were taught domestic subjects such as needle work, house management, cookery, laundry and childcare.
Women were taught to sweep, dust, polish, make beds and even bathe a life sized-doll!
But times have changed and now most people take an interest in cleaning – men, women, teenagers, adults. But where do we go to learn how to clean now?
